Hot Tapping

Hot tapping is a method used to add a new branch connection to an existing pipeline or vessel while it is still in operation and under pressure. It involves creating a hole or opening in the pipeline or vessel using specialized equipment, and then installing a valve and fitting to create the new connection.

Torqing

Torquing is crucial in all pipeline operations to ensure the safety and integrity of the system. Over-torquing or under-torquing can lead to leaks, which can be dangerous and costly. Therefore, experienced and trained professionals should perform torqing to ensure an adequate seal.

Pressure Testing

Pressure testing may involve the use of specialized equipment to create pressure, and the results of the test are compared to established safety and performance standards to determine if the system or component meets the required specifications. This type of testing is essential to ensure that products and systems are safe, reliable, and effective.

Pigging

The process of using a pig, which is a cylindrical device, to clean and clear debris from the pipeline before and after a maintenance intervention. Pigging can help prevent the accumulation of debris that could interfere with the hot tapping process and potentially cause damage to the pipeline
